Allow me to introduce Gareth

This photo of us was taken in the 9th grade. (So long ago!!!)
Gareth now works for a publishing company and in his spare time he is an artist. Working with graphic arts and also pencil and paper. Gareth is totally a free spirit - traveling the world and experiencing the most out of life. Something I have always been completely envious of! I think his free spirit really comes through in this piece of art....

This is hands down my favorite piece by him.
I love art that pulls you in and makes you think...Art that makes you question - What is this guy day dreaming about? Art that makes you wonder - What is setting him free? And art that makes you imagine...Art that makes you relate...
For me, when I look at this art, I wonder where he is escaping to in his head. An exotic place? Back in time? To a lover? It just makes me think and makes me imagine, I love that!
Please feel free to leave a comment and let me {and Gareth} know what you think!
Thanks Gareth for allowing me to feature your artwork

Yeah that is sick - love it. My contextualization would be the prison like dude (me in my current job, cube life, tapping away on my pc) and daydreaming of what I'm passionate about.
That's a great piece. Did I miss where his portfolio is located? Flickr, blog - somewhere?
Thanks for sharing Kevin - I can definetly relate that...kinda goes with the evolution of man on your blog :)
I belive he does have one - I will post an update as soon as I get it.
Thanks again Kevin!
That is really a cool piece. Seems to be a very talented artist!
Thanks for sharing this, Heather.
