Thankful

I have waited all weekend for the skies to open up. I finally got my garden hose out and watered my plants and seed last night. And of course, it rained.
But nonetheless I am thankful for the rain. I woke up this morning to brightly colored plants and green grass growing in my bleak dirt yard. I am thankful for the rain that washes the dust and dirt away and gives life to a fresh new day.
2 Sam. 23:4 - "And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain."
